American Strider Bikes Selects Amsterdam For Its European Headquarters
AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Strider Bikes is opening up its European headquarters in the Netherlands. Founded in 2007 in the US, Strider Sports International Inc. is the world’s premier manufacturer and distributor of balance bikes.
The company has sold more than 2 million balance bikes in over 75 countries. The popular light weight balance bikes will be sold in the Netherlands starting in June. In the past years Strider Bikes has introduced thousands of kids worldwide to the joys of riding. Their bikes stimulate balance, coordination and self-confidence. The first bike was designed by Ryan McFarland, owner of Strider Bikes and enthusiastic mountain biker, for his 2 year old son.
The Netherlands perfect base
“The Netherlands is well known for its cycling culture, making it the perfect base for our European headquarters,” says Ryan McFarland. “We are looking forward to introducing our balance bikes in Europe, to improve the freedom of mobility of young children and their parents.”
Ricardo Correia, Global Managing Director of Strider Europe BV, adds “Our goal is to improve the mobility of young children and give them the possibility to explore the world by bike. Children can stride beside their parents, rather than being pushed in a pram. It expands their world, because they’re more eager to get outside and explore.” The Strider range now introduced on the European market includes six different models.
