EU Temporarily Suspends Trade Preferences for Cambodia

BRUSSELS, Belgium – Yesterday, the European Commission has temporarily withdrawn tariff preferences for specific products granted to Cambodia under the Everything But Arms (EBA) arrangement over concerns related to serious human and labour rights violations. EBA is a condition of EU's Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP) under which Cambodia enjoys an import duty free status for goods (including bikes) that the country exports to the EU member states.
