Cycling advocates have key ally in Brussels, but more investment is needed
BRUSSELS, Belgium - European cycling industry organisations have a key ally in Frans Timmermans, Vice-President of the European Commission, last week's round table discussion showed. "Decarbonising public transport with a more modular way of getting around cities is needed and cycling is, by definition, the best way of solving the problem" he told industry supporters and European mayors present.
