Swiss bike sales exceed half million mark but it's not all Covid-related

SOLOTHURN, Switzerland - Swiss bicycle and e-bike sales in 2020 at a first glance represent the rising popularity of cycling as a means of transport and fitness. With 171,132 e–bikes sold a new record was reached and total bike sales tipped the half million mark. However, with the Swiss bicycle association's surveys data coordinating with federal customs figures for the first time, the official Swiss sales statistics not only show a sharp rise, but also more ‘accurate’ figures.
