TAICHUNG, Taiwan - Giant Group celebrated its 50th anniversary last week with a series of events held at the company's global headquarters in Taiwan. DEVA, Romania - Cerurim srl is a Romanian component manufacturer located on the site of bicycle assembler Eurosport DHS. According to Eurosport DHS co-founder Xi Yang, the unnamed Chinese investors behind this alloy rim and wheel producer once made a visit to DHS - "and liked what they saw here."

MALLABIA, Spain - In 2016, the cooperatively organised bicycle manufacturer Orbea S. Coop. ushered in a growth phase, with the number of employees expanding to around 1,000 worldwide. In these past six years, the brand has made its name not only in Spain and Europe, but globally. Now the Basque cooperative is entering another phase that requires a reorganisation of the business areas.

AALSMEER, The Netherlands - The Dutch bicycle brand Brinckers integrated the Near Field Communication in e-bikes as one of the first. In the future the owner can simply open the app of his e-bike by holding a mobile near the headset logo. Brinckers' owner Pieter Booij explains the advantages.

Today, projectmanager of the European working group Joost Witsenburg, will present an update during the International Cargo Bike Festival.

DEVA, Romania - In order to cope with the current supply bottlenecks, including the escalating transport costs, Romanian bicycle assembler Eurosport DHS is now planning to attract further component suppliers due to its European close-to-the-market production. With all eyes on the still growing e-bike assembly sector, a battery and a drivetrain supplier from China could soon follow the call.

OSAKA, Japan - The global presence makes it possible for Shimano to compensate for fluctuations in various market. Thanks to big differences between European, North American and Asian markets Shimano can still report a net sales increase of for the first nine months of 2022.
