    SRAM purchases Time Sport pedal business from Rossignol Group

    CHICAGO, USA - SRAM is the new owner of the entire range of road and mountain bike pedals, cleats, and all related patents of Time Sport. The iconic brand Time Sports has finally been split-up between two companies now previous owner Rossignol Group and SRAM concluded the agreement on 18 February.

    BUCHAREST, Romania - Andrei Botescu, the founder of bicycle producer Atelierele Pegas, and four other shareholders have sold all their remaining shares in the vintage bicycle brand. Network One Distribution (NOD), which is fully controlled by Iulian Stanciu, CEO of the large Romanian online retailer, has become the sole shareholder of the company.

    Insolvent Sachsenring Bike Manufaktur taken over by investor group

    SANGERHAUSEN, Germany - Troubled German bicycle producer, Sachsenring Bike Manufaktur, is out of insolvency having been bought by a group of unspecified investors. The newly founded Zweirad Union E-Mobility has taken over 75 of the employees and will "continue bicycle production at the old MIFA site in Sangerhausen."

    MONTREAL, Canada - Dorel Industries has terminated the going-private transaction which was announced last November. To convince the current owners, an initial offer of Cerberus Capital Management LP representing the buyers was raised two weeks ago.     Piaggio Group reports sales down-turn despite Italian e-bike boom

    PONTEDERA, Italy - Italian two-wheeler and commercial vehicle supplier, the Piaggio Group has reported consolidated net sales of around €1.31 billion in fiscal 2020, down 13.6% year-on-year. The "disappointing" sales are attributed to corona-related closures and not profiting from the following peak.
