OSNABRÜCK, Germany - Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and Derby Cycle have signed an agreement to handle all logistics of the Cloppenburg, Germany based bicycle manufacturer.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - It's initiated by Taiwanese e-scooter maker Gogoro with the strong support by battery maker Panasonic and starts in Amsterdam. It's the first battery exchange project in Europe.

NEVERS, France - Yesterday, Look Cycle announced that it is taking over Corima; the French specialist in carbon wheels. The acquisition is part of an ambitious growth plan that Look Cycle announced mid-2013. It is aimed at doubling the company's annual sales to around € 100 million by widening its existing product range through acquisitions and by diversifying into other sectors like tennis or golf.

WILRIJK, Belgium - Spokes and nipples manufacturer Sapim moved its headquarter to a new location. Located in the same neighbourhood as the old facility, the new building covers an area of more than 6,000m².

NUNSPEET, the Netherlands - New firmware has been released by Shimano to make automatic gear shifting possible for e-bikes with Shimano Steps drive train and Nexus-8 Di2 hub drive units.

COLOGNE, Germany - Europe's bicycle buyers powerhouse Zweirad-Einkaufs-Genossenschaft eG - better known as ZEG - is stepping through its wholly owned subsidiary Eurorad Deutschland GmbH into the tourist business. Under the brand name Travelbike ZEG claims to create, "The largest rental network for e-bikes."

PIETARSAARI, Finland - Finnish component manufacturer Herrmans Oy Ab announces that it is to expand its production facilities for bicycle components by 50% in the next five years. Reason for the big expansion is Herrmans' confidence in the growth of cycling as well as in its speed to market capabilities allowing for swift deliveries and flexibility to European bike factories.

POZZOLEONE, Italy - Next month Selle Royal Group will disclose a new industrial plan to its shareholders outlining the main business strategy for the next 3 years. Selle Roal confirmed that the principal strategic lever of the plan will be product innovation.

HARTMANNSDORF, Germany - In 2015 the brand Diamant not only celebrated its 130th anniversary, but it was also very successful production wise. Last year the Trek owned facility in Hartmannsdorf, Germany produced over 150,000 bikes.
