    Cannondale Recalls OPI Stem/Steering Tube

    WILTON, USA - Cycling Sports Group, owner of Cannondale, issued a voluntary recall worldwide of its bicycles mounted with an OPI stem/steering tube. On the North American market alone nearly 24,000 bicycles are involved in this recall.

    TI Cycles Enters into Licensing Deal with Ridley

    FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - TI Cycles from India, a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group, announced at last week's Eurobike that it has inked a licensing deal with Belgian Ridley Bikes. The deal presents brand Licensing rights for Ridley for India and the South East Asian countries of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmarfor a period of 33 years.

    Colorado Governor To Kick Off Interbike

    SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, USA - Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America, announced that John W. Hickenlooper, Governor of Colorado, will kick off its 2015 show. The Governor will do that by presenting the keynote speech at the annual Interbike Industry Breakfast on Wednesday, September 16 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

    Paris To Ban Cars on 27 September

    PARIS, France - Paris will ban motorized vehicles from the roads for the day on 27 September as an experiment in its efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The city will implement the 'Une Journée Sans Voiture' (A Day Without a Car) to coincide with European Mobility Week and a United Nations climate change summit, both of which will also be in Paris.

    More Funds for Growing Cycling Announced at Advocacy Summit

    FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - At today's Advocacy Summit it was announced that the ECF/Cycling Industry Club has received a 2 million euro subsidy from the European Commission. The money is to be spent on an in-depth research study of the effects that cycling has on urban mobility and city-congestion.

    FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - Exactly 500 products were judged this year by a panel of experts for the Eurobike Awards. After two days of intensive evaluation and discussion twelve were selected for a Eurobike Gold Award and one for a Eurobike Green Award.
