    Cambodia bicycle export loses a third of its value

    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - As rapidly as bicycle exports increased during and in the aftermath of the pandemic, Cambodia is now losing this trade again.     Robbert De Kock to step down as CEO of WFSGI

    ITTIGEN, Switzerland - The World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is to have a new CEO. After a successful 16-year tenure, Robbert De Kock, has decided it is time for him to leave the organisation and hand over the baton to a new leader. The WFSGI Board has appointed Emma (Mason) Zwiebler as Interim CEO from 1 November 2023.

    VIENNA, Austria - Despite the insolvency reorganisation of Gleam Technologies and the public call for investors by company founder Mario Eibl, the company has failed to avoid bankruptcy.     Shimano sees big opportunities to enhance market potential

    OSAKA, Japan - Shimano regards 2023 as an "in-between year" as Marc van Rooij, President Shimano Europe Group already explained at Eurobike. This is reflected in the financial results for the first half of 2023. The Japanese manufacturer reports a net sales decrease in bicycle components of 17.7% to JPY 204,986 million (€1.3 billion) year-on-year, and operating income decreased 39.5% to 42,093 million yen (€270 million).

    German fleet and subscription startup Cycle Mobility raises €10.3 million

    BERLIN, Germany - Describing its business model as a "full-service mobility solution for delivery services and couriers," Berlin-based startup Cycle Mobility Holding GmbH has successfully finalised a Series A financial round.     FRANKFURT, Germany - One of the world's major motorcycle accessories suppliers SW-Mototech debuted its own cargobike during this year's Eurobike. The Via 1 will be fully assembled in Rauschenberg, Germany and should be available from spring 2024.
