Go Swissdrive Opens European Service Center
WERMELSKIRCHEN, Germany – Go Swissdrive AG – since January 2011 a subsidiary of German Ortlinghaus Group – opened a European service center for its e-bike drive systems in Wermelskirchen, Germany.
The Ortlinghaus Group is also based in Wermelskirchen (near Cologne). This company is a, “Leading specialist for the supply of clutches, brakes, plates and compact drives including hydraulic power packages and control units.” These components are made for a wide variety of applications; from cars to trains and from planes to tractors.
Go Swissdrive produces motors as well as complete drive system for e-bikes which are used by “several prestigious bicycle producers,” says the company.
Closer to customers
The new service center in Wermelskirchen is opened for, “Being closer to our customers,” is noted in a press release from Go Swissdrive. The company headquarter is in Gams, Switzerland.
New service manager
Michael Plückthun is Go Swissdrive’s new service manager and responsible for all European customers. He and his team is based at the service center in Wermelskirchen. Plückthun was product and service manager for e-bikes at ZEG in Cologne.
According to Plückthun Go Swissdrive will present “many new products and further developments,” at this year’s Taichung Bike Week in November. With the new line-up for MY 2015 the Swiss e-bike system supplier intends to expand its sales and market share.
