UTRECHT, Netherlands (6 March 2000)–Some 93,000 motorbike fans showed up to the 15th MOTORShow in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The show took place from 2-5 March. This number was just under the record year 1997 when 94,000 visitors showed up. The MOTORShow traditionally kicks off the motorbike season.
Last year motorbike sales increased in the Netherlands for the first time in several years. According to MOTORShow organizer Utrecht 400,000 motorbikes are registered in the Netherlands and 1.2 million people have motorbike driver’s licenses. (JW)
