FRANKFURT, Germany (22 November) – Today the Frankfurter Messe issued a press release about the cancellation of the Bike-on Show. The text of this press release reads: A high degree of interest was shown in the concept of bike-on as an international trade fair for the components industry and service providers for the bicycle sector in Europe. This was reflected, in particular, by the fact that almost all key players had signed up for the first event. Nevertheless, the total number of exhibitor registrations was too low to ensure a successful international event for all concerned in accordance with the standards of Messe Frankfurt. “We very much regret this development. However, we are sure that the decision taken is in the best interests of our exhibitors and visitors. We will continue our dialogue with the industry and keep our eyes open for new ideas”, said Annette Ziemer, bike-on Director. Bike-on was to become Europe’s number one OEM Show for the bike industry.
