Hero Honda to launch India’s First Fuel injection Bike

MUMBAI, India – India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda Motors Ltd on Tuesday announced an investment plan of Rs 3.2 billion ($69 million) for its third plant and the launch the country’s first fuel injection motorcycle. The proposed plant, to come up in Jaipur within a year, will have an installed production capacity of 5,00,000 units, which will be expandable to one million units.

The proposed plant, to come up in Jaipur within a year, will have an installed production capacity of 5,00,000 units, which will be expandable to one million units.
 
Informing the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) of its plans, the company said it would launch 125-cc Glamour FI, India’s first motorcycle with FI technology, in June 2006. “To meet the growing demand for its products, the company continued its capacity expansion initiatives in 2005-06 to take the total capacity to 3.9 million units,” a company statement said.
