Suntour: V-Box Production

VOIRON, France – Suntour’s V-box heavy-duty gearbox is in production. Shifts well, is nearly silent and will have got its maiden ride by the time you read this at the oncoming Megavalanche series, starting at Alpe d’Huez in the last week of July.

The V-Box is seen here in a Nicolai frame with the swingarm bearing in the axis of the final drive.

“If the mechanism stands the practice treatment our rider and gravity will give it, we’ll continue to work on lower weight. The whole assembly now weights 4 kg, and we think 3 kg is a real possibility,” says Suntour’s Henri Manders.
