ST-QUENTIN, France – MBK cycles represented by EXTENS SAS, has decided to suspend any sponsoring, partnership and technical support for professional bicycle racing teams for the 2008 season. (Team Agritubel was sponsored by MBK in 2007, ed.) According to MBK, this decision was taking following the recent affairs in international bicycle races and without a clear view on what will follow.

Instead, MBK cycles will extend its efforts to young riders who represent the cycling of the future. MBK will continue its sponsorship of the white jersey (for the most promising rider under 23) in the Paris-Nice stage race until 2010.

This means a continuation of the partnership with ASO, the organizers of the Tour de France and various other road races for professionals. In the same way, MBK will continue in cross-country mountain biking with a team of juniors, in partnership with the club ‘Marseille La Pomme’.

MBK cycles will continue their sponsoring of the triathlon team Poissy in their preparation for the 2008 Olympics, as it will continue to sponsor Belgian BMX rider Arnaud Dubois till the Olympics.
