RST Introduces Composite Bearings in Suspension

RST has developed a whole new style mono-type bicycle suspension fork named ‘M-Series Single Shock’. The M-Series is designed for urban riding with streamline shape, a stable and a smooth suspension. M-Series Single Shock contains of four models suiting the wheel sizes 700C, 26 inch and 20 inch (drop-out pitch 100mm or 75mm).

The M-Series Single Shock’s elegant appearance has a magnesium casting and a monocoque structure. The key point of M-Series Single Shock is the ‘Composite-Bearing’ between the centre axle and steering tube. Most mono-type suspension fork are using ball-bearing or roller-bearing for unhindered motion, but the clearance of ball or roller bearing will limit the stability.

The composite bearing is light weight and has high load, high impact and self-lubricating characters that couldn’t coexist in metallic bearing. The functional design is available for adopting disc brake, V-brake, roller brake, cable routing and fender.
