Clutton Comfort Saddle Offers 4-D Design for Maximum Lateral Support

The Lateral is the latest saddle project of Australian leisure-goods designer, Peter Clutton. The concept is based on a four dimensional lateral support. According to the designer, the flat rear section provides ‘level’ seat contact for the sit-bones, giving correct spinal support and removing the ‘angled’ sit-bone contact that causes irritation.

The patented Ergo-Beam fits into the buttocks, holding the rider’s body tissue into the pubic arch, to provide optimum cushioned support. It also holds the rider centrally, eradicating any lateral movement of the hips that causes ‘pelvic float’ and lower back strain. The cut-away mid-section removes the ‘shoulders’ found in traditional saddles, to provide a totally unhindered leg action during pedalling.

The unhindered leg action also removes all chafing of the inner-thighs and central crotch area and enables a complete and powerful pedalling stroke. Finally the pommel has been lowered, to remove unhealthy pressure from the central crotch area, even when riding in the ‘aero’ position.
