With the entrance of the BioLogic Robotman Joshua Hon (left on photo) launched Dahon’s new brand of cycling gear at yeaterday’s Taiwan Product Launch. Here he said that “BioLogic will be about more than just cool cycling gear.
We also plan to set a high bar for ourselves in environmental and social responsibility. For instance all packaging will follow Environmental Sustainability guidelines as championed by REI and we’ll be participating in the Eco Index pilot program to try and improve the sustainability of our products. In addition we will allocate at least 1% of each year’s profits to social and environmental causes.”
“Over the last few years, we have come up with a lot of innovative ideas for products to address those needs and more ideas keep popping up every time we sit down to brainstorm so we’ve decided to spin out all of these products under the independent BioLogic brand. All these products are developed in Taiwan,” said Joshua Hon.
The BioLogic line currently includes a number of products for the urban commuter, including Arx Grips with T-Tool, Bike Mount for iPhone, a Cycle Safety Horn, a Chime Brake Levers, CycleTune Speakers PostPump, a QuickMount Bottle Cage, a ReeCharge personal power system for any USB chargeable device, a TailLight, a vacuum flask and the most remarkable one in this series a pollution mask.
