Rodi, one of Europe’s biggest rim makers, is located in Portugal. The company offers a complete range including wheelsets which also come under the BlackJack brand name. For 2011, Rodi is introducing three new BlackJack wheelsets ranging in weight from 1477 to 1820 grams. The lightest set is called Skypper and comes in 622 x 13C size with 20 spokes in front and 24 rear.

The R1800 is the BlackJack road race set that comes with single eyelet rims in 622 x 15C size. The new XC400 wheelset is specially suited for disc brakes and is available in 559 x 17C.

The WEB and E-550 are Rodi’s special rims for electric bikes. These rims are specially developed for dimple piercing commonly used in motorcycle rims. Dimple piercing provides a better alignment of the spoke and a perfect settlement of the nipple on the rim, creating a straight line between all elements of the wheel. Rodi’s e-bike rims are available in 4 sizes and weigh between 620 – 690 grams.

Under the Rodi brand name there are two new wheelsets for road racing bikes in the line-up for 2011. These are the Airline Evo and the Stylus. Both offer alloy rims with double butted spokes. Evo is the lightest of the two with a 20 spoke front wheel at 869 grams and 24 rear at 1123 grams. The Stylus offers a 20 – 28 spoke combination and weighs in total 2112 grams. Both sets are available in 622 x 13C.
