Spank Industries and Fratelli Industries have teamed up for 2011. The new combination will release the latest evolution of the Spank EVO rim line. In just over one year with Fratelli, Spank claims to have been able to reduce rim weights by 5-15%, while increasing tensile strength and ductility by up to 145%. For 2011 Spank offers a wide range of light weight rims like the Vomax 23 EVO XC Rim, featuring the patented Oohbah profile, with double beadnip technology and a MGR Dynamal alloy construction.

Its smallest size weighs only 335 grams. The rim is available in 32H/28H configurations, in 26, 29 inch and 700c sizes. It has a 23 millimetre outer width and a 18.5 millimetre inner width. The Tweet-28 EVO – DJ/Street/Park/Slope features the new brushed-deep anodized finish. The pinned joint provides ultimate toughness and the rim is disc specific. The Subrosa 30 EVO model can handle marathons to downhills with a weight starting from just 520 grams. It has a MGR super-6 alloy construction and the Oohbah profile with double beadnip technology. The Subrosa 30 EVO is available in a 32H configuration, 26 and 29 inch.

The ability to drive development in-house has given Spank a major leap ahead in terms of technological growth. Furthermore, the introduction of rare aeronautics alloys, like Dynamal Alloy have been instrumental in providing serious riders with what they feel are the highest strength to weight ratio rims available.
