New Sports Apparel and Equipment Tracking Sales Service
PARIS, France – Market research company NPD Group has partnered with GFK under ‘Sports Tracking Europe’ to launch a new point-of-sale service in Germany and France this month.
The new service will monitor sales of sports apparel and equipment industries from a diverse range of retailers across general sporting goods stores, department stores, and e-commerce channels. The service delivers comprehensive coverage of point-of-sale purchasing in sports apparel and equipment categories.
Analyze competitive information
The ‘Sports Tracking Europe’ service will give users the ability to access detailed view of brands, large and small, and accurately analyze competitive product information. Companies will be armed with information to diagnose what’s happening at a more granular level behind category, brand and manufacturer performance, and gain the competitive edge needed to succeed in today’s marketplace.
It will be available in Germany and France on a monthly basis from now, and will include full years 2011 and 2012. “We are excited to begin offering a retail sales picture of complete sports coverage with apparel, hardware, and footwear. The need for point-of-sale information is more important than ever before and we are quite ambitious to deploy this service in Italy and Spain as well,” said Renaud Vaschalde, industry analyst, The NPD Group in Europe.
