SRAM’s World Bicycle Relief Opens European Branch
SCHWEINFURT, Germany – Kristina Jasiunaite is appointed to GM and CEO of new-founded World Bicycle Relief Deutschland gGmbH. At the start, the first branch of the US charity project founded and led by SRAM co-founder and GM FK Day in Europe is focusing Germany.
Later World Bicycle Relief (WBR) will spread its activities to other counties in Europe as well. WBR Deutschland gGmbH has been approved as a public utility and non-profit aid association (that’s what the ‘g’ before GmbH stands for).
Kristina Jasiunaite is most familiar with SRAM as well as with WBR. After working for a couple of years at the European SRAM headquarters in the Netherlands the native Lithuanian and her Dutch partner Ed Naberhuis moved to Austria and founded Kalnai Sports GmbH. This company is among others exclusive SRAM sales and distribution partner.
Before moving to WBR she handed over her Kalnai Sports job to Naberhuis to concentrate on her new job. Before starting as GM and CEO of WBR Deutschland gGmbH Jasiunaite was already representing WBR in Europe on a voluntary base for about two and a half years. WBR’s website www.worldbicyclerelief.org will soon also be in German.
