Danish H.F. Christiansen Opens Office in Germany


QUAKENBRUECK, Germany – The Lower Saxony based H.F. Christiansen GmbH is the latest offspring of the Danish distributor to grow its export. The German subsidiary commenced business recently.

In addition to the distribution channels in Scandinavia and other European countries the development of the German market is now a further and important goal”, says Uwe Koebbing general manager of the German subsidiary of H.F. Christiansen.

Own brands

With their own brands Principia, Centurion, Nishiki, Taarnby, Bugatti and Avenue as well as the license brands MBK (Motobecane) and Raleigh, H.F. Christiansen A/S claims a market share of nearly 25 % of the Danish market.

Based in Randers the company runs its own European warehouse with bike parts and approximately 100.000 bicycles on stock guaranteeing a speedy delivery. The new Quakenbrueck office includes a showroom with all bicycles on display.

Managed by third generation

H.F. Christiansen A/S corporation was founded by Hans Frederik Christiansen in 1903 for the distribution of bicycle parts and wheels. For more than 110 years the company is owned and managed in the third generation by the Christiansen family making it one of the oldest independent bicycle wholesaler in the world.
