Currie Technologies Partners with TranzX in E-bikes
CHANGHUA, Taiwan – US e-bike market leader Currie Technologies announced a new partnership with TranzX. TranzX’s electric drive system will be specified in four of Currie’s IZIP branded premium e-bikes.
Based in California and part of Accell Group, Currie Technologies is renowned for their large selection of stylish, premium quality and technologically advanced electric bicycles. The company is also the exclusive distributor of Haibike e-bikes in the US.
“The right products on the right market”
“Statistics show that the e-bike market in the US has continued to grow in recent years”, says Larry Pizzi, President of Currie Technologies. “Recent studies indicate that 160,000 units were sold on the US market between July 2013 and July 2013. “We believe that we are entering a place and time with the right products on the right market.
Currie’s models implementing the TranzX electric drive system include the E3 Peak and the E3 Dash. The Peak is a 27.5-inch hard tail MTB with a new central drive system for the US market with a high torque, 48V BB mounted motor with throttle and torque sending pedal assist modes. The E3 Dash is a street and urban bike with a 500W, 48V rear hub motor with a maximum speed of 45 km per hour in pedal assist mode and 32 km per hour in throttle only mode. The bike also comes with a cruise control.
Longer urban distances
