Changes at Ghost; New GM Duo Kalliwoda & Takens

WALDSASSEN, Germany – Ghost Bikes co-founder and General Manager Klaus Möhwald left the company at the end of August at his own request. On September 1st, his childhood-friend and Ghost co-founder Uwe Kalliwoda took over and forms now with Accell Group CEO René Takens a GM duo leading the company.

Uwe Kalliwoda is since February 2012 President of Accell-Asia Taiwan and will remain the bike holdings senior executive in the Far East. He leads Ghost Bikes out of Taiwan. Accell Group CEO René Takens will do the same from the Netherlands. For the day-to-day business there’s an experienced management team at the company headquarters in Waldsassen led by the Jens Steinhäuser who’s in charge of sales and marketing. Other MT members are Stephan Gültner (Administration/Finance) and Udo Zrenner (Technology/Development).

Klaus Möhwald left a note to friends, colleagues and business partners saying that after 25 years within the bicycle business and 20 years at Ghost Bikes he is now looking for new challenges.
