Selle San Marco Hit by Burglary


ROSSANO VENETO, Italy – Saddles worth more than one million euro have been stolen from the Selle San Marco warehouse at the premises in Rossano Veneto.

The burglary took place last Friday night November 30 and includes 6.000 saddles packed in 300 boxes ready to be shipped. It includes high-end saddles as the top 2014 model Aspide Superleggera, Carbon FX models other race saddles. Selle San Marco is currently looking at possible collateral damage to other products in the warehouse.

In the press release Selle San Marco states that it will be difficult to sell the stolen saddles as they all carry a warranty hologram and ID number under the shell. At the moment the company is checking the details of the codes involved.

Selle San Marco apologizes in advance for the disruption of the market. The burglary will cause inevitable delays in deliveries in the weeks ahead.

The saddle manufacturer also asks the industry to inform them if any of the stolen saddles will be offered at a very low price and/or under suspicious circumstances. Contact:
