Private Equity Firm Takes Stake in Endura
LONDON, England/Livingston, Scotland – Apparel and helmet maker Endura Ltd. announced that is has secured a minority equity investment from Penta Capital LLP. This London-based private equity firm is concentrating on investments in medium-sized enterprises. Details on the deal were not disclosed.
Managing Director Jim McFarlane found Scottish Endura Ltd. in 1992. Since then the apparel maker became a global player selling its products on more than 20 country markets.
30 million in sales
Key strategic markets are Europe (particularly Austria, Germany, France, Spain, UK), USA and South America. In fiscal year 2013/2014 (ended on 30 April) the company that is mainly known for its technical functional bike wear generated worldwide sales of GBP 24 million (€ 30.3 million). According to McFarlane the year 2014 has been also great for Endura – “but the best is yet to come.”

Penta’s investment will be instrumental in us strengthening our position in international markets which is showing increasing demand for our performance products across the entire range,” states McFarlane.
