At Eurobike and InterbikeEddy Merckx Cycles was actively looking for new partners who want to put in their full weight to distribute the high end road bikes with the famous brand name. “For model year 2015 we launched no less than five new bikes,” said Rob Beset. “It indicates our ambitions and this did not go unnoticed by potential partners.”

Asian network

“Especially the number of markets in Asia stands out when looking at the list of new partners. We now have business partners in Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan and Singapore. Asia is a relatively young market for road racing but still very important for brands with a strong image and history.” Also in Europe Eddy Merckx Cycles found new partners in important countries like Germany, Spain and Italy.

“I dare to say: mission accomplished”, said Rob Beset evaluating the international shows this autumn. “We have managed to lay a solid foundation. This brand deserves to be present on the international road bike market. We consciously select retailers as this local anchoring is important. IBDs are a significant added value for a high end brand like Eddy Merckx.”
