Bike Europe Gets New Owner
DOETINCHEM, the Netherlands – Today Reed Business Information has announced its intention to sell 17 of its business-to-business brands, including Bike Europe to Vakmedianet Groep BV. This is a fast growing Dutch publishing house.
Rob Kolkman, CEO Reed Business BV says on the sale, “Our parent company Reed Elsevier has undergone a successful transition from print to online publishing and transforms now from offering digital content to provide data and information solutions. In line with this strategy, Reed Business BV intends to focus on delivering data and information solutions for specific professional audiences.”
Bike Europe and Tweewieler
The 17 of business-to-business brands include not only Bike Europe, but also its sister-magazine ‘Tweewieler’, the dealer magazine for the bike, moped and light motorcycle business in the Benelux countries. Next to Bike Europe and Tweewieler the sale includes magazines for the food and restaurant sectors as well as for car-mechanics and logistics managers. A total of 93 employees are involved in this intended sale.
The fact that Bike Europe and Tweewieler are to get a new owner will bring no changes for all relations, customers and/or users of these brands. The news service as well as agreements are executed with the same quality as usual.
