After China Bosch eBike Systems Branches Out to US
IRVINE, USA — After opening a sales & service office in China last June, Bosch eBike Systems branched out to another continent last week. The company heralded its start in the US last Thursday with the official opening of its HQ for e-bike drive systems in Southern Californian Irvine.
One year ago, in January 2014, it was already announced that Bosch eBike Systems North America would be founded and that sales and service manager Claudia Wasko would manage the new company. After moving to the States last March, she now officially opened the HQ for Bosch in the United States.
Sales, marketing and service
Bosch eBike Systems North America is currently an office with a staff of five but which is soon to be expanded. Next to sales the focus of the office is on customer service, dealer training and marketing.
The official opening of Bosch eBike Systems North America took place in the company of several OEM customers with, among others, Lapierre, Haibike, Felt and BH. More US bike companies as well as European e-bike makers operating in the US will be fitting Bosch drive systems on their 2015 models like Trek, Cannondale, KTM and Cube. That is, when they are able to get the Bosch drive systems. Bosch still struggles with delivery problems causing lead times to run up to over a half year.
