Sport Import Takes Shareholding in Knight Composites
BEND, USA – Last year, just before Eurobike started, Knight Composites announced to have opened an EU head office. Now the carbon wheelsets maker states to have partnered with Sport Import. The German distributor is to sell the full Knight Composites line throughout continental Europe. Sport Import acquired a shareholding in Knight Composites.
Knight Composites debuted at Eurobike 2014. This year the company is not exhibiting at the Friedrichshafen show. The same goes for its new partner Sport Import GmbH. This is a major distributor representing close to 40 brands and offering 120,000 products, as the company’s website claims. Sport Import distributes SRAM (and its brands Avid, Rockshox), BBB, Felt, ENVE just to name a few.
Last year Knight Composites launched a dealer-direct distribution model from the Knight Composites’ new European head office, housing customer service and a logistics warehouse in the Netherlands. Now, as an ‘investing partner’ in Knight Composites Sport Import, “Is to assist the IBD in stocking the entire Knight Composites line not only in Germany, but throughout Europe,” said GM Michael Muellmann.
