Tubus Goes Dealer Direct on Home Market
MÜNSTER, Germany – The well-known manufacturer of high-end bicycle luggage carriers Tubus announced a change in its sales strategy. In a statement the company announced that, “this decision was taken after careful consideration in order to protect the brand.”
In line with this strategy all distribution of Tubus products will be handled exclusively through retailers and no longer via wholesalers. Tubus expects that this strategy will continue to strengthen its retailers as well as its brand name. The carrier manufacturer will implement this new sales strategy exclusively for the German market as off next October 1.
Tubus also announced in its statement that, “the Tubus product range will be streamlined and to other attractive new models, such as the Grand Tour Front.”
Racktime distribution unchanged
The sales strategy and the close cooperation with its wholesalers for Tubus’ second brand Racktime remains unchanged. “A further steady growth for Racktime is expected thanks to expanded product range of ECO 2.0 in combination with a new line of panniers and fenders,” the company stated in the press release.
