Susanne Puello and KTM Industries Launch New Brands

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany – The big surprise of the brand presentation of Susanne Puello and her business partner KTM Industries earlier today at Eurobike was not the introduction of one brand only but no less than three names. Deliveries are to start next December.

The brand name of the main category was already published by this trade journal early August while Susanne Puello today revealed the other two names: Raymon and R2R. “The production of the bicycles will mainly take place in Europe and Bulgaria in particular,” said Susanne Puello at the presentation to a large audience of dealers, distributors and media representatives. “We are still looking for a production partner in Germany.”

More than e-bikes only

Under the company name Pexco GmbH, Susanne Puello joined forces with motorcycle maker KTM Industries AG, while her husband Felix Puello is expected to enter the company soon. Remarkably Pexco will not only focus on e-bikes only but the company is also to bring a range of regular bicycles. In an earlier statement on Pexco’s vision Susanne Puello said that they would “be reaching for the next level in e-mobility.”

Next logical step

For KTM Industries AG CEO Stefan Pierer the company’s bicycle market entrance comes at the right moment. “Ten years ago we already started with e-motorcycles and today we are the biggest manufacturer in this niche category. Thanks to the e-MTB the bicycle and motorcycle market are growing closer together. For us the bicycle market and e-bikes are the next logical step to grow our business.”

No bikes were shown at today’s presentation. The roadshow for the German market will start in November with Husqvarna and Raymon while the R2R bikes will be presented at Eurobike 2018.
