Indian Tech Firm Presents Made in India E-Bike
HYDERABAD, India – Tronx Motors debut India’s 1st smart electric bike named ‘Tronx One’. The e-bike is regarded as a first step in building Tronx Motors EV into a mobility company. It’s a subsidiary of Smartron India Private Ltd; a company with a background in mobile, compute and wearable electronic devices. Striking is that the Tronx One retails in India for about 600 euro.
“We believe Smartron and TronX Motors can uniquely differentiate its products through integration of various connected and autonomous technologies powered by in-house platform tronX like voice and touch enabled intelligent services and IoT enabled lock/unlock, location monitoring, servicing, sharing features to commuters,” claims Mahesh Lingareddy, Smartron chairman who added, “We can introduce a range of driver and rider assist autonomous and semi-autonomous technologies to improve travel safety, productivity and experience and looking to open up our motors platform to other EV companies in the future.”
250W rear hub motor
Priced at about 622 euro initially, available in two colours – magma red and pacific blue, the e-bike comes with 3 ride modes as well as 6 Shimano derailleur gears. The step-thru alloy frame holds a detachable 36V/13.6 Ah Lithium-Ion battery with close to 500Wh capacity. The drive is a 250W rear hub motor. The Tronx One comes comes with the display with tbike app.
