LILLE, France – O2Feel is a French e-bike brand created by Grégoire Brunet and Jean Bataille based in the North of France. Next to starting the export of its e-bikes, O2Feel also expanded its offering and moved to a new HQ which is based near Lille.

International sales

For Grégoire Brunet one of his priorities is to develop the brand internationally. For that the company hired export manager Anthony Lepoutre. He comes from the French Group LVMH. Brunet’s goal is for O2Feel e-bikes to reach 50 percent in international sales. That has to be achieved in the next five years. Currently the company exports 8 percent of its output to only the Benelux countries.

Switching to production in EU

In order to meet its (export) goals and due to the anti-dumping duties now in place for e-bikes imported from China, O2Feel bikes switched to have more of their bikes made in Europe. In Portugal to be precise. Grégoire Brunet “More than half of our annual sales total is now being produced in Portugal. And we plan to expand this to some 80 percent. The rest will be assembled in Taiwan.”

2019 O2Feel range

Regarding the company’s further development and looking at the 2019 O2Feel range; it is equipping its e-bikes with more Shimano components. In particular with STEPS mid-motors as well as batteries providing ranges even up to 160 kilometers in the ECO mode. With such an unprecedented range O2Feel wants to stand out in the e-bike markets of Europe.

The 2019 O2Feel line-up includes the e-MTB Karma range. Brunet explains “This year we have more e-MTBs with one model starting at 2,499 euro which has the Shimano E7000 mid-motor, a 500Wh battery and Sram’s Boost technology.” The most ‘economic’ O2Feel e-bike equipped with a STEPS mid-motor comes at 1,899 euro retail.

New HQ and logistics center

More news on this new French e-bike brand is on its new HQ and logistics center. Last year O2Feel bikes moved to a new HQ which is based in Wambrechies, near Lille. The 800m² building houses the company’s sales and other offices, the prototyping workshop as well as its after-sales service. In nearby Tournai, Belgium the company has its logistics center where a maximum of 10,000 e-bikes can be stored and shipped to customers all around Europe.
