Eurosport DHS Celebrates Anniversary

DEVA, Romania – Bicycle and e-bike manufacture Eurosport DHS celebrated its 20th anniversary last 12 September. A large delegation of suppliers, distributors and customers attended the ceremony. Eurosport DHS is regarded as one of the largest bicycle factories in South-East Europe.

During the ceremony Eurosport DHS management retraced back the history of the company. Today’s General Manager Yang Xi, her husband and chairman of the board, Niu Guanghui and their son and director of the company Yang Tianqi arrived in Romania in 1996 in their search for commercial opportunities. After the company was founded, renowned Prophete from Germany was their first important OEM customer. Today Prophete is one of the Eurosport DHS’ shareholders.

Supply of over 600,000 bikes

In the past 20 years, Eurosport DHS expanded substantially and now generates an annual turn-over of 80 million euro. The company supplies more than 600,000 bicycles to 600 dealers in 24 countries. Eurosport DHS is an important employer in Romanian city Deva providing jobs to no less than 400 people.

Eurosport DHS developed a full line-up of own brands like DHS, Devron, Devron Electric and Kreativ. Next to their own brand, the company specialized in developing bicycles and e-bikes in all categories for OEM’s all over Europe.
