Three New Members Join Cycling Industry Club
TAIPEI, Taiwan – The members of the Cycling Industry Club had a meeting during the Taipei Cycle Show last March and decided that growing the club is of utmost importance to obtain more funding for cycling advocacy in Europe.
According to Kevin Mayne, Cycling Industry Club (CIC) Director, the company CEO’s who attended the members’ briefing gave a very positive response to the development of the Club since it was launched at Eurobike in 2011.
Since Taipei the CIC is now supported by three new companies; WTB, Time Sport and Bicycle Parking Co.
US based WTB has been a strong supporter of advocacy for many years. They have already got a great track record in achievement with the Safe Routes to Schools program in the US. What started as nothing more than a small grant in their home town is now a 612 million dollar, federally-funded program with real results and everlasting effects.
International Transport Forum
Time Sport decided to back the ECF Cycling Industry Club as a commitment to the future development of cycling as transport and tourism. Finally the US/French Bicycle Parking Company who join the ECF Cycling Industry Club at the International Transport Forum to showcase cycling to over 50 transport ministers in May.
