Gary Fabris Elected President of ANCMA’s Electric Vehicles Group
MILAN, Italy – The ANCMA Assembly elected Gary Fabris as President of the Electric Vehicles Group. Fabris is sales director at Italwin, one of the brands of the Italian e-bike manufacturer FIVE group. ANCMA’s Electric Vehicles Group represents manufacturers and importers of bicycles, motorcycles, quadricycles, parts and services of e-mobility.
Support for Italy’s e-mobility sector
Gary Fabris holds a long experience in the market for electric mobility. “Two-wheeled electric vehicles meet the needs of contemporary mobility: urban travel and environmental sustainability,” says Fabris. “Italy hosts a large number of companies operating in the e-mobility sector and ANCMA aims to support them by pursuing strategic goals such as internationalization, the protection of the complying products, infrastructure, product promotion and to promote electric mobility.”
Next to Fabris’ presidency, the ANCMA assembly also elected two two vice presidents: Massimo Panzeri from Atala, who will handle all international affairs and Gianfranco Nanni from Askoll who will be responsible for electric mopeds and motorcycles.
In 2017 Italy’s market for e-bike expanded by 25% to 155,000 units, reports ANCMA in the press release on its new President. Compared with 2016 the number of electric mopeds and motorcycles increased by 43% to 3,190 units last year, corresponding to 1% of all motorcycle sales in Italy.
