Organizational changes in the management and sales structure of SRAM’s European operation were reason for Martin van Beek to leave the company. “Things change and companies change too; different styles of management are appropriate at different stages during life cycles of companies” explained Martin van Beek at the time to Bike Europe.

In 2008 Van Beek was succeeded by Patrick Brandwagt who took over General Management responsibilities for SRAM Europe.

After his years at SRAM, Van Beek pursued his career in various positions, including the ownership of a medical products’ wholesaler and as business development consultant.
