Industry Insiders Join BMZ Group and Basil
DOETINCHEM, the Netherlands – Lithium-ion battery manufacturer BMZ and the Dutch bicycle bags and basket supplier Basil both hired industry insiders to strengthen their organization. Kim Madsen joined BMZ as of February 2019, while Patrick Ebbeling started at Basil at end of 2018.
Kim Madsen has been appointed as BMZ’s department manager of the company’s e-bike business. Madsen gained lots of international experience in the bike business, latest at the London based Brand Beryl, that designs and develops consumer related lights. Previous to his position at Beryl, Kim worked several years at Shimano Europe in the Netherlands, where he gained international Account Management experience.
Patrick Ebbeling joined Basil’s management team and will be involved in various projects, including the fast-growing luggage carrier system MIK. “He has a wealth of experience in bike bags and baskets, both in product design and development, sourcing and sales know-how, but his last years of experience as a retailer are also very valuable,” says Basil CEO Marc Roelofsen. “Patrick will help us to make Basil and MIK even more attractive for all stakeholders with whom we work together.”
