Sato-san Stepped Down from Shimano Board
TAIPEI, Taiwan – Satoshi Yuasa – by many in the industry named Sato-san – announced at Taipei Cycle that he has stepped down from the Shimano Board as he is due to turn 65. It does not mean that, after a 40 years career, he is leaving the world largest bike components maker.
Satoshi Yuasa was as Senior Vice President responsible for the by far biggest division in Shimano Inc. He was in charge of all Shimano operations in bicycle components. At Taipei Cycle he said that he now has the shortest title there is, as he continues to work for Shimano Inc. as ‘Adviser’. Sato-san also remains to be Vice-President of the Japan Bicycle Association.
