Neco Technology Presents new Components
At Eurobike, Taiwanese component manufacturer Neco Technology presented their 2014 range, including headsets, bottom brackets, cranksets, and pedals.
The H151S and H332L integrated headsets made of alloy are five grams lighter than the previous versions. The H151S fits a 1-1/8 inch head tube and 1-1/8 to 1.5 tapered fork. It comes with no less than five rings to make it fit in any size of frame tube. The H332L fits the 1.5-inch head tube reduced to 1-1/8 inch fork tube.
The new BB86/BB90/BB92 bottom bracket is CNC machined and made of forged alloy. It fits press fit cups and comes with a plastic center sleeve. The BB is a lower-cost Shimano compatible alternative.
Neco expanded its pedal range with the WP 908A downhill model. The aluminum platform comes with screw-in pins for additional grip and sealed bearings. Made for downhill, the pedal has an CrMo axe making it extra stiff and strong. The platform measures 94 x 105 millimeter and will be sold as an aftermarket product.
The KA501 chainwheel features a five arm spider making it most suitable for road use. The crank is make of 6061 forged alloy and comes in three different lengths. It has a polished alloy or polished black anodized finish. The CNC machined double chainring will also come in three different sizes and combinations.
