Koga: Alloy Equals Carbon
HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands – “Not all top racing bikes are made from carbon,” is Koga’s new strategy. The Dutch high-end manufacturer introduces a striking high end custom order aluminum road bike, claiming its weight and stiffness values equals modern carbon racers.
The KOGA A-Limited is made of high quality 6069 aluminum, an alloy that combines low weight with extremely high tensile strength. The frame has clean lines and remarkably thin seatstays for a maximum absorption of vibrations.
1130 gram frame
The A-Limited comes with a blue anodized frame, offering durability and a weight reduction compared with painted frames. The anodized frame weighs 1.130 grams.
Koga’s Signature program
The A-Limited will be part of Koga’s Signature program so the bike can be specified on customers request. They can choose from a wide variety of components such Dura Ace, Ultegra and Shimano 105 or Red 2012 and Force groupsets as well as different configurations in cranksets.
Next to the drive train, customers can also selected their preferred wheel sets, tires, handlebar in various widths and lengths, stem and seatpost. The first bikes will be on the market in April 2013.
