Trek Consolidates Supply Chain Planning
CHICAGO, USA – Trek Bicycle has partnered with John Galt Solutions for a global demand planning and inventory management project. With Atlas Planning, Trek’s 25 planners will manage over 300,000 finished bikes, parts, and accessories over 25 countries.
Trek will eventually roll out Atlas to cover their sales & operations planning (S&OP) process, including sales collaboration, capacity planning, and reporting. With their business growing rapidly and expanding overseas, Trek needed a system capable of consolidating all global business segments and their planning processes, while reducing time and resource commitments from the planning and IT teams.
Stronger inventory management
The Atlas Planning Suite was chosen for its flexible data warehouse, scalable architecture, and ease of use. Trek believes this software will improve their planning and customer service in the short term, while establishing a solid foundation for future growth.
“We were extremely impressed with the John Galt software, especially its ability to grow with our process and our future expansion,” says Roger Gierhart, VP of Forecasting, Distribution & Logistics at Trek.
“We are confident that this software will allow us to achieve higher customer service levels and stronger inventory management, and build our market share both domestically and abroad.”
For any company
Annemarie Omrod, founder and CEO of John Galt Solutions says, “Any company that is expanding their reach into the global marketplace can benefit from the exceptional visibility and rapid decision-making that Atlas enables.
