Accell Netherlands to Open Cycling Experience Centre

EDE, the Netherlands – ‘De Fietser’ (the cyclist) is the name of Accell Netherlands latest initiative to boost the bicycle trade and industry. The 10,000 square meters experience centre will be the largest in the country.

“‘De Fietser’ will strengthen the market position of the brands Batavus, Koga, Van Nicholas, Sparta, Juncker, XLC, Lapierre, Ghost, Haibike and Loekie in the Netherlands,” says Wouter Jager, General Manager of Accell Netherlands.

The new centre will include a test track of almost half a kilometre. There will be a theme park where the visitors can discover everything about e-bikes, bike to test, several outdoor trails and brand stores of all affiliated brands showing the latest bikes.

Here visitors can decide which bike suits them best, after which it will be delivered by the IBD. Also the bicycle museum, currently based at Batavus in Heerenveen will be part of the experience centre.

The cycling experience centre is scheduled to open in summer 2015 and expects 100,000 visitors annually.
