SRAM Teams With Bosch for E-Bike Innovation
NIJKERK, The Netherlands – SRAM and Bosch have combined technologies to offer an integrated shifting system for e-bikes with a mid-motor and pulse hybrid drive-train. The system pairs the DD3 shifter from SRAM with the Active Line and Performance Line motors from Bosch, as well as the German company’s Intuvia on-board computer.
The combined system enables spontaneous manual shifting, as well as automatic gear changes at pre-set speeds. Because the three-speed hub allows manual adjustment into the automatic mode, riders can pair the gearing to with styles of riding. It also facilitates one-hand shifts that enable cyclists to ride more safely, the companies say.
