Vanmoof to Open More Flagship Stores
AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – Vanmoof is implementing a “customer first” strategy which includes a series of flagship stores. The next shop will be opened in Vanmoof’s hometown Amsterdam on April 30th . More will follow soon.
Amsterdam is the third flagship store for Vanmoof after Singapore and Taipei opened last November. Upcoming shops are planned in Osaka, Tokyo and Seoul. “Hopefully we can report more on our project to open a flagship store in the US soon,” says Vanmoof founder Ties Carlier.
The flagship stores are part of Vanmoof direct distribution strategy. The bicycles are exclusively sold via the website and the flagship stores. “This strategy allows us to be more responsive to our customer’s needs,” says Carlier. “We think our customer are the specialists and know very well what they want. We like to hear our customer’s opinion first-hand.”
Visitors can learn about the Vanmoof products in the shops and have a coffee at the coffee shop. Bike repairs are done in the next door adjoining drive-in by the so-called bike doctors.
Vanmoof was founded in 2009 by the Dutch brother Ties and Taco Carlier. Today their distribution network covers 40 different countries.
