Darfon Kicks Off BESV E-Bike Sales in Europe
AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands – As part of the worldwide launch of the BESV e-bikes which took manufacturer Darfon Electronics earlier to Taiwan and Japan, yesterday the European introduction took place in Amsterdam. And that didn’t go unnoticed.
Darfon celebrated the BESV launch spectacularly with a vibrant show of dance, music and video, after which CEO Andy Su underlined his and Darfon’s ambitions with BESV. He said, “We are very successful in the production of keyboards, but we also want to achieve results in the e-bike industry. We do that with distinctive electric bicycles, which have won many design awards.”
The BESV e-bikes are currently marketed in Taiwan, Japan, USA and Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Russia, the Czech Republic and Italy. Darfon is working continuously to expand the number of European countries and Su expects to announce more countries soon. “The launches that we have done, are obviously important, but countries now need to start selling BESV. We will have to make crucial steps,” said Su.
The European launch attracted much attention. European representatives, industry relations as well as dealers were present. Also over twenty journalists came from several European countries to the BESV party and made test rides in Amsterdam’s famous Vondelpark.
BESV is one of Darfon’s bike brands. In addition the company also markets Votani e-bikes. Darfon Electronics Corp. was founded in 1997 and supplies components for OEM computer manufacturing, has annual sales of over USD 900 million (€ 803mn) dollars and has a staff of 20,000.
