3T Goes Dealer-Direct in Italy
BREMBATE, Italy – From September on, Italian premium components maker 3T will reorganize its distribution and go dealer-direct in Italy. They will be supplied from the company’s European distribution centre based near Bergamo in the north of Italy.
In a statement 3T says, “This strategy will enable us to build a much closer relationship with dealers, who will benefit from direct access to 3T’s fast-evolving product portfolio to give their customers more choice and better service.”
More dealer support
3T promises retailers more support, with in-store displays, themed events, and a product demo program. The company will also send its own technical consultants to visit and train store staff. Likely also to attract retail business owners is the prospect of enhanced margins.
Rene Wiertz, 3T CEO, said: “Dealers are key for 3T. They play an increasingly important part in our approach to the market. Despite the brand’s Italian heritage, we have been weak in Italy, and now we intend to put that right”.
Other European countries
Weather this new strategy also applies to other European countries is unsure. “We want everyone who sells 3T to have the skills and knowledge to sell and service our products effectively. So we are taking an active interest in this, even in countries where we have a distributor,” said Wiertz.
On the distributors the 3T CEO continued, “We have some very good distributors, and this strategy doesn’t mean we’ll be say goodbye to them. Our aim is simply to promote a better understanding of our products at the shop floor, and this benefits our distributors as well as dealers.”
