Orange Bikes Introduces New Owner and MD
HALIFAX, UK – On 18 October Orange Mountain Bikes Ltd founders Lester Noble and Steve Wade officially announced that on 1 October their company changed ownership to a new managing director.
The Orange Bikes founders handed over the reigns to Ashley Ball. Their longtime business partner of the 1988 founded premium niche brand owns and manages Orange Bikes’ frame builder P. Bairstow Ltd. Sheet Metal since the year 2000.
No big corporate buyout
“We’ve been looking for a suitor to carry on the work we’ve done with Orange Bikes, and we did not want to go the ‘Big Corporate Buyout’ route as so many others have done; it’s just not the Orange way. When Ashley made it clear to us he would like to take over Orange, we quickly realized our search was over and began negotiating the details that these things always involve,” states Lester Noble.
Keeping the Orange way
Ashley Ball – a nephew of Steve Wade – will keep Orange “the Orange way” – means, “Build with pride in Britain.” Frame builder P. Bairstow Ltd. is like Orange Bikes headquartered in Halifax/New Yorkshire.
